Funny Politics
There's funny...

And then there's funny strange....
The following bit, a trailer for the notorious Innocence of Muslims, isn't funny in my opinion; it's just stupid; really, REALLy stupid. But for the curious, here it is:
It is insulting and very crude even for the intellect for someone who doesn't give a damn about Islam. It goes far beyond the dim light that a simple reading of the actual haddith by a non-Muslim will cast on Islam. It jibes without point; obviously the product of a media war between Christians and Muslims. Tit for tat and all that stupid rot. What goes beyond the appalling stupidity of this movie, however, is the Muslim reaction to it in the Middle East which makes Islam and Muslims look far worse than the movie could possibly do: child-like tantrums, burning, looting, and murdering innocent people, who hadn't even heard of the movie until then, let alone had anything to do with it.

Just look at these wild animals! Even if the victims of those overblown tantrums had something to do with the movie, the violence was not justified. Hell, in a reverse situation, you can be damn sure they would expect better of us.
Take the incidents of 9/11 and the acts of terrorism following it for instance. Thousands of Americans were murdered and there was some violent backlash against Muslims as a result. Violence for violence makes a lot of viscereal sense even if it's not always the best response. But is it just to murder innocents in place of the actual malcreants who masterminded and carried out the obscenely inhuman acts on 9/11? Of course not! Yet to fundamentalists Muslims deliberately egged on by terrorist leaders amongst them, it's somehow conscionable for innocents to be attacked over a mere piece of media, not even a act a violence.
Luckily, most Muslims are more sensible than that. At least over here they are. Even over there, many Muslim clerics are justly repudiating the hot-headed dupes that fell for that manipulation by the terrorist group(s) angling for power.
This is another one of those incidents that has been staring wide-eyed wondering why the hell we have anything to do with that part of the world at all. Why haven't we severed all relations with them by now? Don't tell me it's just the oil. The price is too high when it comes to that.

"I've seem Clinton speeches I thought would never end." Yeah, he loves the sound of his own voice, doesn't he.
Amazing that these Tahrir protesters want the US government to take responsibility for that clown video -- they have a mob delusion that we're in a conspiracy to insult Muhammed. And why? They haven't thought it through that far.
@we_deny_everything - I think there's something wrong with their thinkers. I really do.
I watched the video this afternoon and thought that I wasted 13 minutes of my life. I saw a show that talked about it and said that someone promoting the movie claimed it cost $5million to make. I couldn't believe that given the majority was shot in front of a green screen. I think $500 would be a more accurate estimate.
@godfatherofgreenbay - Quite possibly the dumbest movie EVER and no one would have even looked at it beyond a tiny isolated group if the terrorist leaders hadn't brought it up themselves and frothed the ignorant masses up to mindless masses for the express purpose of garnering power. Jackasses all.
I watched the video of the Romney about the Gay issue. Seems like he will not get the gay votes.
@angys_coco - or women's votes either considering the stances he's taken on women's health and pay issues.
Religion is a means in which people try and place themselves in power over others. Yeah i think its oil because only greed makes people so crazy to destroy. The People in those riots only want power. Power is a thing all people are greedy for because Power = wealth. Its all a shame on Humanity.
@Ikwa - Well, that's definitely one of the things it's used for, though not by everyone.
@ZSA_MD - That's them. Not you. *HUGS*
